Learn the basics of making prints in the darkroom

Step into the dim, amber light of a traditional darkroom in the heart of Deep Ellum at Photographique and learn how to print from your own black & white film negatives. Led by DFW professional photographer and educator Edgar of Edgar Miller Images , in this two-hour class you will turn your best black & white image into a traditional 8x10 darkroom print from your roll of previously developed black & white film. Edgar will guide you through the ins and outs of traditional darkroom printing using enlargers, light-sensitive paper, and photographic chemistry.
At the end of the class, you’ll be proficient in the film-to-print process for black & white photographs and have a greater appreciation for film photography!
To continue your film and photography education, check out Photographique’s day, half-day, and membership darkroom rental options.
Class includes the use of Photographique’s rental darkroom, photo enlargers, light-sensitive black & white printing paper, and chemistry. Please bring your own previously developed roll of black & white film negatives and wear comfortable closed-toe shoes.
The class is limited to four students.
Please get in touch with Edgar with any questions.
